These cool dudes have been enjoying the outdoors lately: swinging on the swing, riding bikes, playing at the park, going for walks and jogs around the block. I started running again and running with the boys in the stroller isn't the easiest thing since I don't have a jogging stroller. I am pushing at least 60-70 pounds in front of me and having some resistance makes it that much harder on the body. I have a hard enough time without a stroller in hand. Why didn't I get that jogging stroller! I went back and forth on which stroller to get and now I wish I had spent a little more for a jogger. After several houses I stop for a minute and Ethan says, "You are tired again?!" It's quite funny to hear his comments along the way. "It's not that much further."
The weather has been so nice, mostly in the low 70's. I know a heat wave will hit soon and not leave for a few months so we are playing outside while we can. This summer we have two big vacations planned back to back in July. First, Lake Powell with the Goodmans for 9 days, then home for a day and Jared and I leave on a cruise to Alaska for another 8 days. We are so excited! We will fly to Seattle and stay there for a night before getting on the boat the next day for a week. Neither of us have been to Seattle so we will go to the Space Needle and see the city. On the cruise our stops will include: Seattle, Washington; Alaska Inside Passage; Juneau, Alaska; Skagway, Alaska; Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska; Victoria, British Columbia; and back to Seattle, Washington. I got my passport in the mail.
About a month ago we discovered a peach tree in our backyard. I don't know why we didn't know about it last year; the gardeners must have taken them all before we moved in. They smell so good but aren't quite soft enough yet, but once they are we will have peaches galore. I see lots of peach pie in our near future.
Lucky you having a peach tree! Peaches are my absolute favorite and I bet they'll be great from your own tree!
