Fisher campout

*more pictures to come*
Friday night the Fisher family gathered at O'Neil Regional Park for a night of family-style camping. The six "Fisher" cousins came in tie dye shirts for the occasion. I think this should be a tradition.
Ethan (4) Jack (6) Clayton (9) Elise (4 mo) Evan (4) Tanner (2)
We made the shirts a week ago when everyone visited us in LA.
It's a lot of work to set up camp just for one night but the boys loved it. Next time we might do it in someones backyard so we don't have so much work. Everyone but Jared was able to come. Someday our Daddy will get weekends! We hate that he can't enjoy these events with us.
We had a great time riding bikes, playing baseball, "spy", we had foil dinners, s'mores and enjoyed time around the fire once the kids were down.

Creepy crawler

This week we have found three huge cockroaches in our kitchen which is quite creepy. When Heather was here a few days ago she found one in our kitchen cupboard that we never took care of until we saw it again tonight. It freaked me out as I grabbed the pizza sauce. I got the bug spray and got it good and figured it would die soon and Jared was on his way home and would be able to get it. As I continued to make dinner with Tanner we saw it come out and crawl on the floor. It was funny how Ethan and I were doing a little dance screaming as it raced around the floor and I sprayed it over and over. As it started to get to the carpet I threw Ethan's shoe at it. By this point we had totally freaked Tanner out and left him stranded in the kitchen crying. We now had spray all over the floor and a big dead cockroach but the job was done. Too funny!

Our first and only pet

Last week Ethan asked for a dog and I gave him several reasons why we couldn't have one so he thought the next best thing was a cat. Again, there are several reasons for not wanting a cat but the main reason is Jared is allergic. He understood that wouldn't be a good thing. I told him we could start with a fish. He was excited to get his first pet. My parents had our old fish bowl from when I was a kid and supplies so we waited for Heather to bring it up with her. This morning we went to Petco to get a fish for both boys. Luckily we got two because within a few hours Ethan's fish died. Looks like we will be visiting Petco again very soon. Glad they cost 15 cents.

Heather, Elise & Jack's sleepover

We had a sleepover at our house for the first time with Heather, Elise and Jack. It's been fun having family up that have only seen our home through Skype. Doug went out of town for the week for training so this was the perfect time to have Heather up. It was Jack's turn to come up so it was perfect having Heather bring him up with her. The boys played lots of Legos and games, we went to the library summer program show, and ended the night with a movie. Our cousin Christina came over for dinner and to meet baby Elise. It's been a few months since I've seen Keena and several more for Heather so it was nice catching up. In the morning we got ready for Laurie and the other boys to meet up with us. Laurie has never seen our house as well. We went swimming at a new pool at the park a few streets away and tie died t-shirts for the upcoming Fisher campout. We ended the day letting the boys play at the huge indoor McDonald's playground. It kept everyone happily entertained for well over an hour until it was time to head home. We love having visitors!

Potty

Tanner has been starting to show signs of being ready to be potty trained by taking off his diaper, telling me when he is going to the bathroom or wanting to wear underwear like Ethan. This evening he came to me as he was going and told me and then a little later he said he needed to go poo so we put him on the toliet and he went pee and poo no problem. Looks like we will be potty training soon. Hopefully he will be just as easy as Ethan was.

Lake Powell

*Pictures to come*

We had another great year at Lake Powell. The boys had a blast playing in the water, sand and Ethan's favorite was tubing. He has such skill and is so hard to throw off. Tanner prefered the boat rides to being in the water. This year Jared couldn't go so Dad and Danny were able to come and help. The boys were at the perfect age for Lake Powell this year. Everything was just that much easier from the car drive to feeling like they were safe and not going to jump over board. I would say this was one of the more relaxing years for me.

We played lots of Bang in the evenings and went on evening runs which has become a favorite for me. I love boogie boarding and this year Carly and I went behind the jet ski while Joel pulled us a lot. It was a blast!

Brett and Eliza's Wedding

Brett and Eliza had a beautiful sealing and the day seemed to go off without a hitch. The reception was held at the Stake Center and was beautiful. Eliza's mother is a florist so there were huge floral arrangments throughout the reception. Everyone looked so nice in their wedding attire. We took a big Goodman family picture before the sealing but unfortunately it won't upload and we have no wedding pictures to share but it was a very nice day! We are so happy for the new Goodman couple.
