We love our daddy. These pictures were taken tonight before Jared headed out to a Chief Resident dinner meeting. Jared works long hard hours and sometimes when on call has to work all day and night and then another half day before getting to come home with only getting 1-2 hours of sleep. The amazing thing is once home Jared jumps right into whatever we may be doing. He has had no sleep but after a little nap he is helping with the boys, doing the dishes or whatever is needed. He is amazing and I really don't know how he does it. He does it with a smile too.

Baseball Game!
Tanner wakes daily and the first thing he wants to do is play "baseball game." He grabs any hat he can find, his ball and bat and gets in his stance. He has a pretty good swing and once he connects with the ball the hat and bat are thrown to the ground as he runs through the house as if running the bases and slides in for home where he started. It's really so cute. Ethan was the same way at his age. These boys love a good baseball game.

Jennie's wedding and a trip to see babydoll
Over this weekend I went to Utah with the Lockhart family to be at Jennie's sealing in the Salt Lake Temple. She married such a great guy, Dan who has a little girl from a previous marriage. She is three years old and very cute. They met in their ward at BYU and have dated the last year. I was grateful for the opportunity to be there at their special day. Jennie looked pretty and though it was raining everything worked out in the end. After the temple we had a luncheon at The Spaghetti Factory which was nice. Jennie and Dan went to Moab for their honeymoon for a few days. They will have a California reception next month at the Lockhart house which we will attend.
Not only did I get to go for the wedding but I got to stay with Heather and Doug for a few days and enjoy Elise again. She is still such a cutie! I got to Utah Friday at 1am and after a good nights rest we had all Friday to play. Heather and I went to the Provo temple and their grounds are so pretty right now with rows of pink roses surrounding the temple. We ran some much needed errands to some of our favorites: Target, Costco, Hobby Lobby, and Seagul Book. That night we brought out their mattress in the living room and all had a slumber party and fell asleep watching Mission Impossible. It is definitely my favorite way to watch a movie in ultra comfort. Saturday was the wedding but on Sunday we went to their ward and made several new recipes. We made an eclaire cake and spinach rollups. Both were good and something we would both make again. It was a fun trip and glad I could go one last time before they move next month. As a cute little side note Tanner calls Elise "babydoll" and asks to sykpe her from time to time.

Paradise
Atlantis was amazing! It's called Paradise Island and that it is. It's one huge waterpark on it's own island in the Bahamas that is 141 acres. They had many kid friendly pools for the boys but one of our favorites was the Rapid River that is over a mile long with currents along the way.
One of the neatest attractions was the amazing ocean life all around you. As you walked through Atlantis there were aquariums and ponds all around with HUGE fish, sharks, turtles, string rays the size of our King mattress and all kinds of fish you have never seen before. It was amazing how they had so many fish and sea life all together in one tank. You would think they would eat each other constantly. In some of the pools we swam in they had areas where you could swim to an aquarium.
One day we had fun taking underwater pictures. It was nice Ethan has some swimming ability so he was able to more freely enjoy himself. The rain didn't seem to stop us much throughout the week. The first day it was a little stromy but the weather would go from a downpour like you have never seen to as clear as could be in a matter of minutes. Even though it rained, it was still in the 80's and humid.
The water at the beach was warm and calm. The sand is much more white and the water is a clear blue compared to California beaches. It was nice to have a private beach without vendors bugging you every minute to buy a necklace, sunglasses or whatever it may be. They had a few tables set up that you could go to if you wanted those items though.
One of their scarier rides was called Leap of Faith. I went first and once I made it out alive Jared took the leap of faith too. The ride takes about a second and at the end you go through a glass tube that is surrounded by sharks. The ride is so fast you don't even know it though. I went several times and it was a thrill! I had to catch my breath after being shot into a pool of water at the end but it was worth it.
Atlantis has muiltipule hotels throughout the park and surrounding Atlantis there are some shops and resurants. In the evening we got dressed and ate at some of them.
We are so grateful for the opportunity we had to go on this trip. It was a trip of a lifetime. We are grateful for Grandpa and Grammy who made it possible and all their help while there.

Going to Atlantis
The gang at LAX ready to fly to Florida and then to the Bahamas!
Tanner loved watching the planes getting ready for take off.
We had geared up and had everything we needed for the all day flights/layovers we would be encountering. We had our new ipad, Grammy and Grandpa's iphones, toys, food, candy, cards, games, and books.
Tanner and Ethan were amazing all day. They really couldn't have been better on the first four-hour flight, the three-hour layover, and then the one-hour flight to the Bahamas. It was definitely nice we had four adults to two children and it was the nicest plane I have been on.
Before we left we had seen the forecast in the Bahamas was to be stormy all week but all we could do is just hope for the best. Once we landed in the Bahamas it was raining pretty hard. The taxi driver said May is the start of their storm season and the week before was their first rain.
